About Me: If you have something that is not in our library, we're likely to be interested. We also list recordings on our personal website that do not fit "the scope" of this website - archivals, vocals, compilations - but may be of interest to you.
We prefer to buy originals, but are definitely open to trades of non-commercial, rare and out of print titles. It is important to us to have as much original art and information as possible, so let us know if you are able to scan things. (Scanning instructions are on our website.)
We're using the notes section of this website to make comments about some of our recordings:
- ART on any recording means that we have the music in digital form and need someone to share the original artwork with us.
- CDR on an LP, EP, 45 or cassette means that we have converted the analog source to CD and designed custom CD-sized art.
- ORG means that we would be interested in buying or trading for an original copy of this recording.
Analog items (LP, EP, 45, cassettes) with no CDR notation have not yet been converted to digital format.
Freeform Collection List:
We do not sell CD-R copies of commercially available items. That said, please visit our website to see the list of duplicate original issue cast and vocal recordings we have available to trade. You can also find scores, posters, playbills and other items we have for trading.
Freeform Wish List:
If it is on our Wish List, we really do want it. Feel free to offer to sell any original issue recordings for which you have duplicates or which you no longer wish to own.
Our collecting priorities are:
--- 1) Sondheim recordings (live, demo, instrumental, vocal, unreleased)
--- 2) All non-English recordings or Broadway or West End musicals
--- 3) Demos, unreleased cast recordings, cover versions
--- 4) Live audio of shows or casts not commercially recorded
--- 5) Filling in the gaps of things we "should" have in the collection
